Last Sunday a team of HKWDA doctors and medical student volunteers provided cervical screening education and HPV self-sampling tests to a group of migrant workers from EmpowerU. It’s been a meaningful afternoon!

Congratulations on the official inauguration of the Hong Kong Menopause Society on 28 March 2026.
The association was co-founded by HKWDA member Dr Laurena Law. Together with co-founders Dr Zara Chan and Dr Rebecca Law, this society aims to raise awareness about menopause care and to collaborate with medical specialties for educational activities in support of women going through this critical life stage.
HKWDA wishes the society a continued prosperity!

< Service for ex-Wang Fuk court residents on 22 March 2026 >
As a special collaboration with our Ripples Action partners, HKWDA joined this service to provide health talks and group sharings with 180 ex-Wang Fuk court residents. The residents enjoyed chatting with our medical year 4-6 students and were actively engaged during the health talks on Healthy Eating, Common eye diseases and Home first aid delivered by our doctors!

Seasons' Greetings from HKWDA!

On 13th December 2025, our team of volunteers participated in the Ripples Action @ Sheung Shui event, offering free Pap smears and psychiatric consultations to underprivileged women from Sheung Shui district. This annual event is jointly organized by women doctors, lawyers, accountants, nurses, dentists and social workers, where each professional will offer their expertise to help those who are less fortunate than them. It is hoped that through these actions love will spread like Ripples all through the city ❤️.

🧵🔬 Youth Committee hosted the annual Microsurgical Skills Workshop at the HK Eye Hospital last Saturday. 36 participants got hands-on experience suturing on porcine eyes under the microscope — it was a blast!

Huge thanks to Dr. Gillian Siu for the insightful suturing briefing, and to Dr. Jonathan Tam, Angela Yiu, and Kristy Yim for their amazing hands-on guidance throughout the session! 👏💪

We loved the energy and enthusiasm — looking forward to seeing you all at our future events! 👀✨

33rd International Congress of Medical Women International Association (MWIA) was held on 12-14 October 2025 in Cairo, Egypt.
The meeting was attended by over 400 delegates from 32 countries and regions.

The congress consisted of scientific presentations, work meetings with MWIA member countries and regions, and many cultural programs, including a gala dinner and cultural night.

The next MWIA International Congress will be held in Georgia in 2028.

The HKWDA AGM cum Annual Dinner was held following our Annual Scientific Meeting. Thank you to everyone who joined us, and a special thank you to Dr. Pamela Chiu and Medici Cantono for their stellar performances.

The HKWDA Annual Scientific Meeting was successfully held on October 11, 2025, at The Cityview Hotel. We were honored to have distinguished doctors, lawyers, and scholar to share the latest advancements in treatment options for various illnesses, as well as insights on the important topics of medical-legal issues and healthcare development in the Greater Bay Area.

The symposium provided a platform for insightful discussions among medical professionals from both Hong Kong and Mainland China. Their valuable contributions undoubtedly bring us a step closer to providing optimal healthcare for our patients and society.

Thank you to everyone who joined us!
